Place du Trocadéro
The Trocadéro offers one of the best elevated views of the Eiffel Tower and is the top spot to shoot that iconic view of Paris we all know and love.
This famous photo spot is located in the center of the Palais de Chaillot and easily accessible via Paris Metro lines 6 and 9.
It is recommended to come early morning as Trocadéro is highly swarming with tourists during the day and especially during sunset when the iconic lights of the Eiffel Tower are switched on.
To shoot past the crowd, the place offers a variety of walls and staircases you can stand on, which make it possible to get a quick shot, even during peak times, if you are lucky. Setting up a tripod can be tricky, as people are generally ruthless in getting their photos. Colors and atmosphere of the view massively change during the day and according to weather conditions, but the sight is always an eyeful. Please note that you will not be able to approach the front walls due to protective fencing. It is not uncommon for people to climb the fences and risk danger of falling, so the premises are guarded by security personnel. Also avoid illegal souvenir vendors.
